    I don't know the original but that sounds great. Even though your voice is different from previous recording I've heard I think this one still fits with the other ones.

    appreciate the reply. the suggestion i've been getting most is to bring the vocals up a bit, so i've changed that, otherwise i think i'm pretty happy with it

    today i recorded an Elvis Costello cover. not sure many of you are a fan of his, but i did one of my favorite songs of his(Green Shirt). i added an effect to make it sound kind of crappy/older. not sure that i'm done with it yet or how i feel about it. the vocals sound different for me since i'm singing lower/softer than i usually do. looking for some opionions...

    I'm more of a Veronica guy when it come to Costello, but I liked. Very pleasing to the ear. I've never heard any of you other stuff, so I can't compare. It's a nice tune.
    Do you play as you sing or do you record the guitar part then sing over the track?

    OOh......... I like that. I wouldn't mind hearing some more acoustic versions off of those early Costello albums.
